DAYS 2 and 3 A typical day at Kalahari Plains Camp will see you being woken at first light. After a cup of tea or coffee and a light snack, you will head out on your safari. As this is such a vast wilderness area, the safaris here can take a lot longer than in most areas and you will typically return to camp in the mid-afternoon. You will enjoy a picnic lunch whilst you are out on safari. After returning to camp you will have some time to relax and watch the sun set across the plains from the camp which faces due west. The safaris often concentrate on the pan systems in Deception Valley. Here you stand a good chance of seeing cheetah and lion. The area is very productive after the summer rains making March, April and May great months to visit. ACCOMMODATION: KALAHARI PLAINS CAMP |
